He even had a defibrillator implant, a device that helps manage serious heart issues. In early May 2017, he was admitted to the hospital, and doctors were monitoring his heart closely. Sadly, despite efforts to save him, his heart stopped.  

His death came as a shock to his family, friends, and fans around the world. People remembered him for his warmth, humor, and the positive energy he brought to television.

His friend Rob Dyrdek shared a heartfelt message, saying his heart was broken and that they were truly brothers who lived an unforgettable adventure together.
